It's Official

Spring is here for real! It was time to give the plants a once over. The scheflera (on the right) got a new home. It was pot bound so I gave it room to make new roots. The little trees have just started to become active. Not bonsais yet but one day... maybe. The larch (left foreground) was the first to break its buds. The spruces have started to swell theirs and the lone mountain pine shows promise of extending its candles pretty soon. This year is a rest year for the trees because I worked them pretty hard last year. One nice surprise was the little boxwood Celia's mom gave me when she visited last summer. I thought I'd lost it. It's leaves turned brown during autumn but boxes are evergreens! It has little green bumps here and there that show promise of maybe becoming leaves! The photo I took of it doesn't really show the little bumps so I'll put one up when the leaves are bigger.

If this is only for shits and giggles, you've got my full attention!

Wow, pretty impressive stuff but then again, I'm your mom, I can say stuff like that :)

Here's to you sharing your adventure from New Caledonia with the rest of us back home.

I'll be thinking of you during the interview tomorrow :)
