The ongoing saga that is my steel guitar is going soon to go into a rest period until I find a wood shop where I can fashion the body of the thing. Meanwhile there are still a few pieces of hardware to do. This weeks is the fretboard. It's made from a sheet of 1/4 plexiglas (perspex) so it's a little hard to photograph but once on the guitar it will let the wood grain through and I think it'll look nice.
I found these rocks in the parking lot of the shop. Big greenish things too. I decided to see if I could polish them up. Turns out I can. Now all I've got to figure out is what to do with them?
I made this custom filler neck and gas cap for one of the guys at the shop that is making a cross between one of those kick scooter and a trials bike. Should look interesting once he's done.
