Stumpy

I present to you "Stumpy" my Christmas tree. I had planned to use the tip of one of the big hemlocks that had fallen down during the strong winds we had this autumn. I went for a walk on the property, as I'm wont to do, and passing by the hemlocks I gave one a shake and most of the needles fell off. My Christmas tree plan would need revision.

I have a hedge of spruce bordering the driveway and it needs thinning out in spots so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. The result as you can see is not a classically shaped Christmas tree but rather a wide and short interpretation thereof. Hence the name "Stumpy"
