A Whole Lot Of Nothing Much

I had not knitted in a long time when a good friend started asking questions about knitting in the round. This led to a short demonstration after which I think she caught the bug. Long story short I adapted a pattern for a child's bonnet I found on the internet to something a little simpler. I decided to work it up to see if every thing was right in the pattern and that it wouldn't produce something horrible. She only has big needles where as I only have small needles so my "bonnet" turned out really really small. I'm happy to report though that the pattern is fine.
It did give me a chance to try out a gift my sister made for me some time ago and I'm happy to report that it works real nice, and it keeps the wool from rolling around in the pervasive dust that's in my house.
This is a bit different. I needed a reading light and I'd just watched Dune so I was in a bit of a "space" mood. Anyway, it's LED powered and as you can tell it's not finished yet. It still needs to be painted and that wire dangling from it is supposed to go through the pipe in the middle of the lamp.
