Haven't put anything on here for a while. Not because I haven't got the time. If my brain were a web browser then there would be 2568 tabs open at the same time. Maybe I've got a creative ADD syndrome or something. On with the show. First off my little CNC lathe is coming along. After gutting it I replaced most of the electronics with more modern parts. In the picture (which was taken quite a while ago) I've put in the different cards and I'm starting to run the wiring. All thats done now and I'm into having the computer talk to the machine phase.
I've got the mill set-up and with spring coming my dad let it be known that it would be nice to have different attachements for the lawn tractor. First things first though I'm fabricating a three point hitch for the lawn tractor. Once that is done we'll fabricate a grading blade and a rake and well who knows what else. In the picture at the back you can see the wooden mock up I made and in the front bits and pieces for the real thing.
Last but not least I figured that if the tractor had a three point hitch we might run out of traction as it rides normally (god I hate saying that word) on turf tires which while gentle on grass don't offer much when trying to pull a plow! Solution? Simple 32 feet of chain, a couple of rings and a pair of bolt cutters and Ta Da tire chains!
It's a bit like macrame with big ass pliers!
