Kitchen Light Fixture Update

Here's where I'm at on this project:

There is another lamp that goes on the pipe and obviously the drywall has to be taped and etc...
I will be shortening the wires coming out of the lamps some more. It looks messy as it is. Should I paint the pipe and fittings is the question I'm asking myself at this point. If I do paint the pipe it'll be black, flat black. Don't be affraid to comment on this one I'm not sure if it would look nice painted.
