That's all well and good, but strewn across the floor in a mess of wires is not how I had pictured it. Clearly it's time for me to build a cabinet or stand for the whole lot. I really like these "modular audio supports" from Audiophile Base though I remain dubious of the "vibration control technology". They are stupendously expensive so even if I wanted to buy some I couldn't.
So, as always, I'm going to build some. Using mdf and veneered in maple with black uprights they should look nice and complement the speakers I built. Here's the part where you can help me. I've been spending some time trying to design the shelves so that they are pleasing in a modern kinda way. Anyway, I could design a 6 speed gearbox with one eye closed and a finger up my nose, but when it comes to esthetics I have to admit sometimes I miss the boat.
The instructions:
Go to the Audiophile Base website and have a look at their products to get an idea what it is I'm trying to get at. Then tell me which top in the pictures below is the nicest and what you think will look best. Or, if I have to go back to the drawing board because none actually work.
