First Floats

I've been trying my hand at making fishing floats for fun. It involves very little: bits of cork or balsa and bamboo skewers mostly. The colours and such are done with thread and/or paint. The three on the left are my first efforts. Too bad nobody uses these kinds of floats around here otherwise I might be able to sell one here and there.

Judging from the comments on my last post I seem to have lost most of my audience, such as it is. It was a spoof of Monty Phyton's Quest for the Holy Grail. It's just a foam ball with gold paint and some of those plastic "gems" you can buy at Wally's world. Since the holy hand grenade had been used in the movie I decided to build up a backstory on how I came to possess one. I used a couple of wikipedia articles and my imagination and cooked one up. Apparently my references where too arcane or Monty Phyton is not as popular as it used to be because very few people seem to have gotten it. So much for my prop making career!
