After spending one of those nights. A night where your brain decides you'll not sleep until it decides you've elucidated what it has been bothered with. In this case, the nature of friendship. Not in a rhetorical, abstract way but as it applies to my friends, my so called friends and myself. Conclusions where drawn around 4:15 am, I'm guessing, because that's the time I finally fell asleep. Nobody need be concerned with this "state of the union" type of conversation I'm having with myself. Of course getting up around noon means my plans for today where shot and I had to find something else to do.
Which brings us to this little blog. One I've not posted on in months. One I've been tempted to send to the big internet scrap yard. A blog which is, with some irony, tied to the conclusions reached earlier during the night. I've told myself this blog would not be one where I rant endlessly and/or discuss what I've had for lunch. So, that's all there's going to be about that.
I recently bought a canoe in a garage sale for a ridiculously small amount of money. Of course that damned thing is beige and it's made out of polyethylene. Think of it as a canoe shaped Tupperware container. I duly scraped off the ugly paint and welded a few minor cracks. This weekend it passed it's sea worthiness test if not with flying colours at least enough to tell me I should invest the time in repainting it. So that's what I did today. Oh, and I had a ham sandwich for lunch!
In the time between this post and the last my dedicated followers, you have not missed much. I've only re-shingled the roof, done a bunch of landscape work, built a raised bed garden, planted said garden, planted some shade and fruit trees... you know basic stuff around the house.
Here`s the Tupperware tub on sawhorses, all sanded and ready for paint.
Silly me didn`t take a picture once the paint job was done and to be honest I don`t feel like it now. I`m pretty tired and hungry so it`ll have to wait until tomorrow. Off I go then to supper and early night,... crap forgot to water the garden...
