The variety of zucchini I planted is called some thing like "Italian miniature white" or something like that. It's been flowering for weeks now but hardly any zucchinis on the plants. And then, this week, all hell broke loose. What you see in the picture is one days worth of pickings and there'll be just as many tomorrow to pick and so on so forth. As you can tell the skin on that peculiar variety is quite fragile once they're ripe. Needless to say I've got to find something to do with all the extra zucchinis.
The reason I planted a garden in the first place was so I could stock up for the winter months. So.... I made zucchini relish! It's quite good, I had some left over for a taste.
If anyone reading this has any ideas on how to put up more zucchinis for the winter I'm all ears.
